Welcome back, Liz!

We’re thrilled to have welcomed our senior PR account manager, Liz Slack, back to the team after taking a three-month sabbatical earlier this year.

Liz’s sabbatical – which was fully supported by the Harris team – included a nine-week adventure in South East Asia, with highlights including seeing elephants at an ethical rescue centre in Krabi, watching an orangutan hang out in the Bornean jungle, and working as part of a team caring for hundreds of baby turtles on a conservation programme in Bali.

Talking about her experiences, Liz said: “I feel very privileged to have taken a 12-week sabbatical this spring, where I’m proud to have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and loved all of the new experiences. I met some fantastic people all doing their bit to improve the environment for future generations, which has made me even more determined to play my part now I’m back home too.

“Now that I’m back, I feel rested and energised at the same time, and ready to take on whatever challenges and opportunities the second half of the year brings. Thanks to the supportive team at Harris, I’ve been able to easily pick up where I left off – and aside from a few passwords, I haven’t forgotten too much while I’ve been away from my desk! I’m incredibly grateful to the team for allowing me to take time out to fulfil a lifelong dream.”
