After we submitted a detailed proposal outlining the need for a change in fire safety design and consultancy company Artec Fire’s online presence, the specialist fire safety consultancy appointed Harris Creative to reinvigorate its website and improve the customer experience.
The refreshed site needed to better showcase Artec Fire’s services, and highlight its experience with supporting large scale projects, as the existing site ‘undersold’ Artec’s capability and did not reflect the scale of the company’s work.
What originally started out as a simple theme update quickly expanded into a full website rebuild once it became clear that the original site would not meet the client’s goals – and our team was fully up to delivering the changes.
Once the scope of the project was clear, we set about crafting a new refreshed visual identity for Artec Fire, which would inform the appearance of the website and would feed into Artec Fire’s social media strategy too.
Our design team refined the existing logo and made it more versatile, providing appropriate versions for all the company’s various brand touchpoints – online and offline. We updated the company’s colour palette, moving it from the previous muted tones to brighter and more modern colourways. All this allowed us to craft a bolder, more confident visual identity to match the quality of Artec Fire’s project portfolio.
Once this was in place, we moved to the improvements in the website itself, prioritising the user experience and expanding the site content to showcase Artec Fire’s services, and its large-scale project experience. With ongoing recruitment a top priority for the company, we added a careers section where the business can share vacancies and attract people to the business. Finally, we increased call to action visibility across the site.

As well as boosting the functioning off the Artec Fire website – with improved speed, accessibility, and mobile useability – we added a GDPR-compliant cookie setup, and installed Google Analytics to enable proper tracking and performance insights.
SEO (search engine optimisation) was central to the website build, with best practice applied and the Harris web team aiming for as near to 100 per cent performance on PageSpeed Insights as possible, with the site achieving an almost perfect score for desktop.
The result is that Artec Fire now has a website that reflects the scale, professionalism and expertise of the company. The website features clear user journeys and is more engaging for users, thanks to its updated structure, prominent calls to action throughout, and the refreshed branding. This professional website, and stronger brand presence, positions Artec Fire as a major player in its field.
Anna Jazdzenska, Associate Operations Director at Artec Fire, said:
“When the scope of our web project expanded, Harris Creative worked with us to ensure that the new and improved site was still ready to launch within our preferred timeframe, working diligently to get the site completed and functioning within a matter of weeks. The visual appearance of our new site presents Artec Fire as the professional fire safety partner we know it to be, and provides our customers with a much improved user experience that allows them to connect more easily with our services and consultants.”
