We’ve had our roots firmly planted in Yorkshire soil for more years than we care to remember which is why we were as proud as punch to discover that Yorkshire has recently been named as the third best place to visit in the world by internationally renowned travel guide, the Lonely Planet.
The county, which was highlighted as a unique place to visit thanks to its “rugged moorlands, heritage homes and cosy pubs”, (which is certainly something we can vouch for!), as well as world famous landmarks like York Minster and Ilkley Moor, which our Head of PR, Guy, is foolishly attempting to jump in the picture above. And not forgetting that it’s currently gearing up to play host to the prestigious Tour de France’s grand depart over two days next summer.
So, if you’re deciding on an exotic location for your next summer holiday – why not give Yorkshire a whirl and see what all the fuss is about for yourself!
