Two worthy projects in North Yorkshire are celebrating £1,750 windfalls after we joined forces with Howarth Timber & Building Supplies to deliver a memorable community makeover campaign.
When Howarth opened a new branch in Harrogate last year, they came to us to deliver a campaign that would serve the dual purpose of promoting its presence in the town and highlighting Howarth’s commitment to the communities in which it operates.
Given that in 2015 Howarth celebrated its 175th anniversary, we hooked the campaign around that figure with Howarth agreeing to donate £1,750 of materials to a local community project.
We undertook targeted social media advertising, as well as producing eye-catching flyers to be displayed in store. The competition received an overwhelming number of entries, with the Harrogate branch manager ultimately deciding to give two different projects £1,750 – Autism Angels and the Forest School project at Meadowside Community Primary School.
We secured coverage in the local press for Howarth about the donations, and produced an impressive short video which was promoted successfully across Howarth’s social media channels.
We’ll be following the two projects closely in the coming months and producing videos that showcase the completed jobs – keep your eyes peeled!
