What an exciting year it’s been for us – one of our busiest ever – so as 2019 draws closer, we’re taking a look back at some of our 2018 highlights.
This year we’re proud to have welcomed three new highly established clients on board: CDUK, Cre8 Joinery Solutions and Crown Paints.
We’ve been working with these clients as across the full range of services we offer, from design and digital to photography, video, PR and social media. Our work with CDUK, Cre8 Joinery Solutions and Crown paints has already resulted in a number of campaigns and projects we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re excited to start putting our ideas for 2019 into action.
Taking on new clients in 2018 meant we were able to expand our team to provide some extra pairs of helping hands. They’ve all been great additions to the team, producing some fantastic work for our clients.
In July we hosted a local student, Alice, who has an interest in a career in marketing, for her work experience week. We wanted her to get a real feel of how we work as an agency, so she worked with our PR, social media, digital, design and photography teams throughout the week – and excelled in all of the tasks we set her.
It’s exciting to see talented and hardworking young people interested in pursuing a career in marketing, and we’re hoping to open our doors to more work experience students in 2019.
You can read Alice’s blog about her time with us here.
If you follow us on social media, you’ll know that we’ve taken part in two major fundraising events this year: the Macmillan Coffee Morning and Christmas Jumper Day.
Our Macmillan Coffee Morning turned into a full week of cake tasting, in the form of a bake off. All of the sugar consumed in the week was worth it though, as we raised £125 for Macmillan.
Everyone in the office on Christmas Jumper Day got fully into the Christmas spirit, raising £85 for Save the Children – with our ‘pin the nose on James Blunt’ game proving very popular, as seen on our Twitter account.
After a successful year of fundraising in 2018, we’ll be continuing supporting charities and raising money for worthy causes – with some fundraising projects already being planned for 2019!
After more than 30 years of being based in Headingley, in November we relocated to Leeds city centre. The move puts us at the heart of the capital of the north at an exciting time for Leeds, as its technology and start-up scenes continue to grow.
We have some exciting plans for early 2019 to celebrate our office move, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media pages for updates.
The year has ended on a high for us, after recently winning two gold awards. At the CIPR PRide Awards, we were named Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region, as well as winning the silver award in the Best Integrated Campaign category as a result of our ‘In the Men’s room’ campaign for Washroom Washroom.
A week later, we were awarded gold for Best Use of Research & Insight at the Construction Marketing Awards thanks to our work with Senior Architectural Systems.
It’s been a great year here at Harris, and we can’t wait to see what 2019 brings for us.
